The first couple out in the Engagement session "likes" competition was Lisa and Mike. We had a session with lots of laughs and lots of wind as well. The hopes was up for beautiful "Golden Hour" light but with an overcast and dark clouds that kept getting closer and closer it never emerged. Still, we managed to get some lovely images and were pretty lucky since the rain held off until we had finished.

On an absolutely freezing morning in July I met up with Cherise and Brock to capture some images for their "Save the Date" card. It was cold but we also had a lovely "Golden Hour" light that made for some really lovely and beautiful shots. I can't wait to photograph their wedding later this year.
This month The Food show came to the big smoke and it was a must go for everyone with a love of food and food related products. Four days long with hundreds of stalls and heaps of famous foodie people doing cooking demonstrations there was constantly something happening. Book signings by well known chefs and foodies, cooking shows, crazy Lewis Road butter sculptures (at first sight I thought it was white chocolate) pop up eateries and an endless amount of sampling this and that. Local food gurus The Gourmet Within was there to represent the Matakana region with its Farmer's Market and so was Matakana Smokehouse and Ed Bee. I was also very impressed by the fantastic display and food from ivillage at Victoria, indian cuisine at its very best. As you understand it was a buzzing and totally fabulous event.
I had a really nice turnout on the competition to win an engagement session with Louise M Photography so in the end I decided to draw three winners instead of just one. Congratulations to you and thank you to all that liked and participated. If you haven't liked Louise M's Facebook page yet you can do it here to be alerted to new promotions, updates and competitions. Keep posted for images from the winner's sessions!
